TORONTO, July 21, 2000 - Parking meter "guardian angels" will be stepping out of cyberspace to save Torontonians from parking tickets and tow trucks this weekend. Kanetix® staff will be randomly topping up parking meters to save people from getting tickets.

Kanetix, Canada's online insurance marketplace is revolutionizing the insurance market in Canada and taking innovative efforts to drive traffic to their website.

Crews of Kanetix staff will randomly feed parking meters in downtown Toronto's shopping districts. The "angels" will be in the areas of Queen St. West, St. Lawrence Market, and the Annex.

"A simple gesture, like feeding parking meters is a perfect example of what Kanetix is all about -saving people time and money," said Gregory Ellis, co-founder of Kanetix.

According to Ellis, "A recent Kanetix survey reported almost half the people who purchased a policy with the help of Kanetix saved more than $200 on their auto insurance. If you factor in the time saved using Kanetix, the consumer is really coming out ahead."

By bringing leading insurance companies together in one place, the site has everything consumers need to know about insurance, including information, descriptions, and best of all - fast online quotes for a variety of different policies.
