Popular contest garnered more than 680 entries
TORONTO, August 8, 2011 - Kitchener, Ontario resident Catherine Kan is the winner of the Kanetix.ca Twitter $100 Gas Card Contest. The contest lasted for 10 days allowing Kanetix Twitter followers to enter the contest on a daily basis.
This contest was administered over Twitter and it was the second contest of its kind for Kanetix - a quote comparison website for a variety of insurance and financial-related products.
When contest winner Kan learned she was randomly selected and declared the official winner, she was excited that she was chosen out of hundreds of Kanetix Twitter followers who entered the contest.
"I honestly can't believe I won Kanetix's gas card contest. I entered the contest just for fun and to learn I actually won the contest is shocking! Gas prices have been a constant thorn in my side for the last few months and now I can finally say I'm getting some relief at the pumps," says Catherine Kan, contest winner.
Many drivers are finding it difficult to cope with rising gas prices especially in the warm summer months when many drivers travel on extensive road trips and weekend getaways.
