Canadian roads are the safest to drive on during the spring

TORONTO, March 23, 2011 - Spring is here and with its arrival drivers can expect to see less vehicle collisions on the roads. According to Kanetix.ca only 21.8 per cent of car accidents occur during the spring months of March, April and May.

In Accident season (winter) is finally over Kanetix.careveals that almost 30 per cent of accidents on Canadian roads actually happen in the winter months of December, January and February. With snowy roads and black ice drivers are constantly put to the test with their defensive driving skills during the winter months.

Although spring is officially here, Kanetix.ca reminds drivers to not let their defensive guards down as it is not uncommon for winter like snowstorms to happen in March and April. So until spring-like weather arrives, drivers should keep their snow tires on and maintain a safe driving distance between other vehicles on the roads.
